Hi, Ingo,

This web page

http://www.iwm.org.uk/collections/item/object/80017588

seems to indicate that St Nazaire was the port in question. However, I have not encountered any other site, or pages, that can verify that. Perhaps someone who can use a better phrasing with Google can do better ?

No 1 Docks Group was stationed in South District, Nantes Base Sub Area. Its 'War Establishment' was 27 Officers + 851 other ranks. Its 'Actual Strength' was 29 Officers + 825 Other Ranks.
