I suggest the initials might be R.W.K. equals Royal West Kent Regiment.

There is also another set of initials below the one you are quering over and above B.E.F - that is No 2 I.B.D.
That is almost certainly No 2 Infantry Base Depot ?

yes, I think it is R. W. K. for the Royal West Kent Regiment. Thank you!

It is the hole adress? Who was this Base Depot?

Hi Ingo,

No 1 and No 2 Infantry Base Depots were located in the Rouen Base Sub Area (Philson 2006), but I am unable to provide you with the precise location.

The 6th and 7th Battalion RWK were part of the 36th Infantry Brigade in 12th Infantry Division which arrived in France on 22 April and was one of three 'labouring' divisions.
