Does anyone know of any published work on Army Signals date stamps, WW2 or even earlier/ later periods of use ?

Thank you

Peter

Peter

An excellent article in "The London Philatelist" (Volume 120, No 1385, May 2011) on "The Army Telegraphs Cancellation" by Andrew Higson FRPSL and Michael Ritherford.

There is an earlier article by Peter Langmead ("Early Army Telegraph Cancellations") which appeared in "The London Philatelist" [Journal of The Royal Philatelic Society, London] in January 1975 (Volume 84).

Brief mention of Army Signals and illustration of ARMY SIGNALS GHQ- datestamp 1940 in FPHS Newsletter 203 (Spring 1990)

My response in Newsletter 205 (Autumn 1990) to an illustration by George Crabb in Newsletter 93 (Sept/Oct 1968) of ARMY SIGNALS JER.

Query 335 From Cy Kitching re ARMY SIGNALS GHQ- in 1942 (Journal No 282, Winter 2009)
and my three page response in Journal 283 (Spring 2010)
Other responses in Journal 284 (Summer 2010) and Journal 385 (Autumn 2010)

I have done some research on the subject, in particular WW2 - what in particular are you after ?

Regards, Mike
