My attempt to upload a scan of the entire envelope failed, it seems. I'll try again, attached, hopefully, but I doubt it makes much difference.....

This is very similar style to Gould 6B12 from WW1
No stop, and no serifs
I have no doubt you have already checked

Actually, Frank, I hadn't, although I had noted the WW1 naval style, I've been a bit pre-occupied. Will e-mail you about that.
