What was the geographical location of Field Post Office 15 in September 1939?

Hi Christopher,

Proud (History British Army Postal Service Vol III) records this used with the BEF from the 12th September 1939 through to May 1940, moving initially to France and then into Belgium and I would suggest then back through France as the German advanced.

Hope this helps.

Peter

I don't know if I can add anything - but John Daynes in his article "Fifty Years Ago - The British Expeditionary Force in France and Belgium 1939-1940" (FPHS Newsletter 201 - Autumn 1989) listed FPO 15: 27.09.39 - 11.12.39 as with 1 Div PU (FPO D1?) and 22.12.39 to 04.05.40 with 3 Div.
