Dear members,

I have got found an envelope with this interesting handstamp I. S.. With the date noted 22. MAY 1940. Who can write the answer about this Kombination?

The initials I.S. in the triangular cachet are for London Inland Section.  I would suggest they have been applied at Mount Pleasant Post Office in London (location of London I.S.) to show that it has been through the post and has been correctly handled (i.e. no postage stamp required as On Active Service) as it has no FPO marking.

Than we can't identify the area, who the envelope sending. I make a new aka about the censor handstamp. The higher numbers are mostly from palestine.
