Title: HMT 1260
Post by: Chris Weddell on June 14, 2019, 01:15:01 PM
I am looking for any information on a Royal Navy WWI Troopship HMT 1260.  Has anyone got any information or a name for her.  I have a cover from her dated the 19 November 1919 with APO SZ4 which was in Ismailia, Egypt. Michael Sacher has this APO in use in Ismailia from December 1915 until February 1919 as a last recorded date ????

Any help with the 1A type censor mark would be great as i cannot find a match for this either.

                                                  Cheers

                                                  Chris

Chris.
Have just found this post. I refer to this in volume 2 but with incomplete details as 1A144 when I thought the number was 1250. I would welcome confirmation and the sizes of the triangles (base by height) so I can complete the record. Many thanks. Michael Gould
