Title: Cover of the Day 20th April An Unusual Cancel 1918

Team

Something a little different, again from my "Mount up pile"

PPC of Salonika, datelined Greece, 3.9.18

No Censorship present and No Cancel applied.  Small Black Boxed Rectangle with two series of dotted lines, lower one has "By" to the left.

Pencil marking APO S  with initials.  Something I've never seen before.  Anyone any clues.

I have found Nellie Clara Warr on Ancestry, who married in Begbroke in 1919. Not sure what she was doing there, as the family seems to have come from Buckinghamshire. Perhaps a domestic servant.

Her brother was apparently Herbert Frederick Warr, shown as Frederick Warr on the 1901 census. I haven't managed to find any firm details of his military record though
