Title: Ephemera of the day 13th May 2. Seized Document.

This is a bit of an oddity.

In 1918 in Palestine when the E.E.F. was moving further into Turkish hold Territory they often came across Turkish HQ'S and Camp which were deserted. This document was picked up from one such HQ which was hit by a bomb!!! All the documents were damaged and scattered around and were picked up and were repaired and were kept as souvenirs by the soldiers.

This one has been translated and is a receipt of 262 Kurus received by a Lieutenant of the second battalion of the 75 Regiment for compensation of his rations for November 1913. This is signed and dated for the 39th of November 1913 by the Lieutenant.
