Air Mail from Elk Mound Wisconsin April 1944 cover sent to a T/Sgt Robert L McReynolds ASN 16168703, American Military Internee, Camp Adelboden, Switzerland. Opened and resealed by the U.S Censor, with the cellophane label covered with the German label, coded b, tied to reverse and applied in Berlin. Forwarded with the redirection label to the hospital at 'Indelspital Berne.
Technical Sergeant Rober L McReynolds was a Radio Operator Gunner on B17 42-97064 flying out of RAF Rattledon in Suffolk, 13 April 44 on a bombing mission to Germany, when his aircraft was shot down, landing in Switzerland, where he was interned to the end of the war.
