Title: 8th June Cover of the day Ship to ship mail from the Korean War (1).

This is my first cover of the day today which is ship to ship mail from the Korean War.

This cover was posted from the British hospital ship "Maine" by Surgeon Lieutenant Commander J Watt R.N. to a Leading Writer aboard H.M.S. "Opossum" a Black Swan Class Sloop.

The cover is tied with the normal Post Office Maritime Mail machine cancel (N48) in use from 1943 until 1964 and on the back a dated Commanding Officer / H.M.S. "OPOSSUM" boxed cachet.

Where they both in theatre?

Both ships were in theatre at the time.
