Afternoon Team
Still on Furlough and sane :)
Something a little different to start the month.
Cover from a Martin Prigge No 326 POW held in American Prison Camp, Vladivostok, Siberia. Sent to Germany via New York.
Cancelled US POSTAL AGENCY SIBERIA Oct 2 1919
Still working on the cachet at lower left.
I posted a couple of similar items a few months ago but am sure not this example. A new area I could get very interested in.
Enjoy
Chris
Chris,
Nice card. Could you post the other side?
American and Japanese intervention forces took over the administration of POW camps holding Germans and Austrians 1918-1920.
The censor mark at lower left reads, AEF Siberia/Censored/Sig.............

Two comments:
- a nice cover, although you have posted it a day early as it is dated 2nd October! ;D ;D
- 2nd October is my birthday so I should have that cover!!! ;D :) :)
Not seen this postmark before.
Mike :)
I found some info on Ancestry.
Cpl. Prigge appears on the manifest of the USS Antigone which left Norfolk Virginia on June 22, 1920 carrying POWs back to Europe. His service number 326 matches the one on the card.
I could find no record of his trip from Vladivostok to the US.
I will email the jpeg to you.
Hi Howard
Reverse of cover is blank, No markings at all.
Happy Birthday Mike. Afraid this item probably our of reach as a Birthday present.
I'll post a couple more of these items.
