Title: Zurich Red Cross Card to
Post by: Chris Grimshaw on April 12, 2021, 12:52:28 PM
Hi Team

As usual with this Serbian related material something always stumps me,  however not planning on giving up.

Scans show a nice POW card from Lausanne, Switzerland.  What I cannot make out is the destination of the last line of the address.

Cachet on reverse translates as,

Colis payé le Comité Serbe = Parcel paid for the Serbian Committee.  Card is perforated at the top suggesting a reply section possibly a parcel acknowledgement.

The para at the foot asks for acknowledgement of receipt using the attached card

Thanks Alan

Thought that was on the lines of my thoughts.  There's  far greater variety of these cards etc than what we see connected with British  Allies and Empire POW's.

Chris,

The card is addressed to Nagymegyer, Hungary (now in Slovakia).
