Title: At which port was this PAQUEBOT applied?
Post by: Nick Colley on April 12, 2021, 01:56:56 PM
Hi, all,

I assume it's an Australian port (for obvious reasons), but is that too easy/naive?

BTW, the pencil endorsement reads '20/11/41 Recd 24/11/41'.

Many thanks!

I think this has to be within Australia, as it's only taken 4 days including a weekend. In which case my suspicion would be it's come ashore at the major naval base in Sydney.

Can you confirm there is a stop after PAQUEBOT?
If it has it's not Australia

Well, see attached. It looks as if it has. So what port would that be, do you reckon, Frank? I would be surprised if it's not Australian? The alleged travel time suggests somewhere not that distant from Sydney, don't you think?

There are no PAQUBOT marks recorded for Australia with a following stop, except one and that is a boxed mark.

Will keep looking
