Title: USS Brooklyn in Vladivostok 1919
Post by: Howard Weinert on April 22, 2021, 04:41:31 PM
Here is a registered cover sent from Vladivostok (26.11.19) to St. John, Kansas (22.12) by Raymond Westley Miller [1899-1981], chief quartermaster on the USS Brooklyn. Miller served in the Navy from 1915 to 1922. The Brooklyn was in Vladivostok from 28 October to 8 December. With a Vladivostok censor mark.

Btw, pay attention to the Russian-language spelling of the address. On the example of writing "St.George's" in Russian translate, we see evolution. In the pre-revolutionary language it was written "Сант Джон", now it is written "Сент Джон".
