Post by: Chris Grimshaw on April 27, 2021, 04:06:58 PM
Well Team

This one I cannot say much about and seeking enlightenment.

Pre printed card Triangular censor is WEIN,

1917 POW Borokve Samara stationery card to Bohemia.

Cancel dated 2 – 7 – 7

There is what looks like 8 in Circle in Red. Also a feint Censor Hand stamp Rectangular in Purple ( Top Right side) also Censors initials in Blue Crayon

Any assistance appreciated please.

Chris

Chris,

The faint violet rectangular mark was applied by the Petrograd censor.
The cancel is Borskoye in Samara province near the Volga River and on the railway between Samara and Tashkent, 2 July 1917.
From a Czech soldier in the Austrian army.
The 8 in circle is not Russian.
