As my previous post clearly proves I struggle with Russian covers and card - I thought I would show another.
1917 Newcastle to Russia and I think addressed to the 1st Aviation Div at Smolensk, unless everyone tells me otherwise?
Comments welcome.
Peter,
The card is addressed to the Rear Aircraft and Automobile Repair Workshop in Smolensk.
Postmarked in England on 4 March 1917, in Petrograd on 11 March (24 March in Western calendar), and in Smolensk 3 days later.
Censored in Petrograd. I can't determine the language in the message. It is not Russian.
