Title: Siberia Censor / American Red Cross 1919
Post by: Peter Gassmann on December 25, 2021, 11:25:26 AM
Hello All

Here is an item I recently found, sent from Japan to Vladivostok / Siberia in 1919. Does anyone know more about the censor mark? And do you know something about the American Red Cross in this area?

best wishes
Peter

The censor mark is fairly common. The D. K. (Passed by Control) replaced the D. Ts. (Passed by Censorship) in 1917.

The American Red Cross went into Siberia with the American intervention forces in Aug. 1918. They set up facilities all along the Trans-Siberian RR.
