Title: WW2 US Army Camp Butner Label
Post by: Peter Gassmann on July 03, 2022, 07:54:09 AM
Hello All, have found an interesting label on a cover to a US Army person in April 1945. Does anyone know more about this label and its function?
best wishes, Peter

Peter

this looks to me to be a forwarding label - the addressee had moved on from the unit to which the letter was addressed. What exactly the first line means I don't know, but the second is Personnel Reassignment Center, who kept track of postings.
