I have received the following enquiry:

I have assumed that this relates to WW2 - I have asked for confirmation.

I have attached a scan from Virk's book on Indian FPOs in WW2 relating to FPO No 53.

The information I sent him (i.e. the two pages below from Virk's book) appears to have satisfied the person who made the enquiry - unless any of you have additional information!

Hello Mike

This all ties in with Proud History of the Indian Army Postal Services Vol III pages 472-473.  Proud also list some latest dates for some locations but not all. A 50 / 50 split between N.S. and priced, 22 in each category.

Would be interesting to see exactly what period he's looking at.
