Title: A man using 3 Type 5 Censors
Post by: Chris Grimshaw on November 26, 2022, 11:45:49 AM
As part of this study I'm also 'mining' the Internet

Came across three covers all from the same correspondence signed by sender (so Officer level) to his wife

All have unclear FPO cancels, first is possibly 119

Dated 5 Dec 16 with 5 / 2746 (see scan) (phase II)

Dated 21 March 17 (phase (III) with 5 / 3252

Dated 17 May 17 (phase III) with 5 / 3650

Currently only examples I've seen.

I have nothing recorded for 2746, either AK's material or ledger

For 3252, I have recorded 01/12/1916 T40 (= 35 Div Train in Phase II) - also in ledger. This also records 07/1917 FPO48 (= 15 Bde 5 Div Phase IV)

3650 - ledger records 05/1917 FPOD41 (= D35 in Phase III) - seems to tie in with 3252 35 Div Train above.

There are countless M Morgans on FWR, mostly PBI.

35 Division included 104 Bde with Lancashire Fusiliers Regts and 105 Bde with 15th and 16th Service Battalions Cheshire. Any of these might tie in with the address - or not! 15 Bde included 1st Cheshires
