Hi

Hi can anyone tell me more about this FPO as i very little info on this. Also could anyone tell me where was this located at the time of posting and anything thing about the censor mark.

What is the reason of the inverted year date in the FPO cancel or is it just an error.

Proud records FPO HX as Canadian Corps HQ, (Proud Page 274)

No location given.

K & C also shows no location.

Censor 4/872 is listed by FD as 8th Squadron RFC

I confirm that FPO HX was Canadian Corps, which Proud records as being in St Eloi area (South of Ypres) from 9/15 to 1/6/16.
The 91 inverted would be just a slip - fiddly insertion of date plugs 19 and 16.

8 Sqdn RFC was at La Belleville Feb 1916 to Feb 1917. I haven't had time to try to identify that location.
