Title: WW2 Censor 714 - Daynes Type A500
Post by: Michael Dobbs on September 28, 2015, 05:41:56 PM
This one has slipped through the next - I received this enquiry from the website back in June:

Just wanted to know if you would be able to identify the location of origin of postal items from the Censor's Number - Middle East - 1942 - No 714

This refers to Daynes Type A500 censor 714 - see attached cover.  The postmark appears to be FPO R.6 used in 1942 (according to Virk this was in Egypt.

Any allocation for censor 714 greatly appreciated.

Many thanks, Mike  :)
