Title: WW1 Army Post Office 13 in South Africa
Post by: jleathes on October 11, 2016, 07:59:21 PM
I have just acquired for my small GB Used Abroad collection a piece with a registered label and 1 shilling  GB stamp with a CDS on the label of Army Post Office 13 dated 6 April 1916 whilst the stamp has a very heavy pmk which appears to be Cape Town. Any ideas please as to its origin ?

It can't be British APO 13 - it did not exist at that time. Perhaps FPO 13?

If you are able to scan it for the forum, or to my email address I can see what I can make of it.
