On the back of a cover sent to Toronto from 4th Canadian Infanfry Reinforcement Unit posted at APO SC2 Manchester, England, on 30th May 1943, is a 41mm d/r "Orderly Room / No.1 Ship's Conducting Staffs / Embarkation Transit Camp" dated 21 May 1943

Due to the nine day difference was the letter written on board a troop ship and posted in England

Were was the Transit Camp? was it in Halifax, Nova Scotia?

Years ago I started collecting post cards and envelopes issued for Israeli soldiers by various welfare organisations

I now have a pile of new material that needs writting up

Is there a listing or catalogue available?

I have lost my friends who were able to translate them, so is there anybody willing to help me?

Hi

I have a pass issued by the Mersey Naval Control Service on 5 March 1945

I would like to know 1) what was this service, 2) what was his rank or rating, and 3) why did he need a pass the travel through the United States?

Cheers Peter
