Barry postmark

I have a postcard of RMS Royal Edward with the Barry B O postmark.

The message was written as the ship was about to leave the dock.
Did the writer miss the Bristol pilot?

I presume a pilot boat came out from Barry to collect mail.

Are there any sources re. the Barry service?
