I have attached two scans of a cover that was posted for South African Army P.O. 1 on 18 June, 1941, when the post office was located at GPO Durban. On the rear of the envelope is a circular cachet which reads I believe "O.C. SAAF POST OFFICE" with the same date. Also on the front of the envelope is manuscript PBC which no doubt stand for Passed by Censor. What I am enquiring about is the censorship would no doubt had been carried out at SAAF Post Office, but would "manuscript" PBC suffice a this time of the war.
