Folks, I expect it's me failing to use Proud or Kennedy & Crabb properly, but I can't find any mention of a d/r Army Post Office 1 in use later in the war - see attached. The use of a postage stamp suggests it was used somewhere in the UK, but where, and what unit(s) did that particular office serve?

Many thanks!

(Base) Army PO 1 was at Le Havre from 1915 - 1919, according to Proud. I have seen this one in AK's material, or something similarly dated. In the written message, it quotes "Canadian Forestry Corps, 59 Coy, Army PO France.

Not sure about the stamp though

Ah, tvm, Hon Treas! So they were too lazy to fit the word 'Base' in the datestamp. Almost as lazy as me giving up trying to decipher the manuscript message....

It IS the item you've seen in the AK material. I'm building a stock of scans for use in a 2nd Ed of K&C.
