First off, I would like to apologize for the condition of this cover. It is a cover sent from Harrismith in the Orange Free State to Adrian Beukes, of the 607 Boer prisoners of awaiting transport to internment on Tucker's Island in Bermuda on the SS Manilla .Most of the prisoners on the SS Manilla had been captured in fighting around Harrismith. Too interesting to dispose of.

Condition isn't everything when there is a history attached

And don't let us forget the conditions under which it was kept - and if I read the date correctly (NO 14 00) it is nearly 120 years old!

A very nice collectable cover.
