My Card of the Day 7 May 2020 - Prison Ship

Here is my card of the day, the picture side (not shown) shows the Kusunoki Temple at Kobe in Japan, rather interesting to wonder how the sender got the card?

The card is datelined Ryde 21.IV.15 and sent to Malmedy Germany cancelled with the large cachet POST FREE P.C. PRISONERS OF WAR. The senders message is in French and gives his name at the top Alfred W. Forsteny Ryde I.O.W, and in the text his new address as H.M.T. Uranium.

Uranium was one of the Solent Squadron Prison Ships used early in WW1 as prisoner numbers increased and the British had not planned to hold them in such numbers. Mail from these ships is scarce
