"George" at GHQ?

On a real photograph of a very young "George" in what appears to be a summer uniform
The only clue to his identity is on the picture side "From George", on the reverse is a pencil note "To my dear mum"  probably sent under separate cover
The photographer has rubber stamped the reverse Fotografia Lucenti / Lonigo, which suggests that the photograph was taken while GHQ Italy was located at Lonigo during the summer of 1918
Note- No cap badge, no unit or Divisional flashes, also no rank
