I have received the following enquiry from Italy

hi. i'm a member of AICPM, italian military post collectors association, i would like to know in october 1944 who use the fpo13. i'm not sure if was used by SA 6 arm.division or British 6 armoured div.. we have 2 postcards of Tuscany published on IL POSTALISTA revue on line.

many thanks end i'll wait for your answer.

The above link will take you to the website showing the two postcards.  They are both cancelled on 10 OC 44 and have shield censor 8148.

Proud (Volume III) shows FPO 13 as being issued to 6th Armoured Division 16.10.40 and used by that Division in the UK, Tunisia, Italy and Austria until 5.7.46 when 6th Armoured Division was redesignated as 1st Armoured Division.

Can anyone confirm or add to that please?

Thanks, Mike  :)

Mike, I think it is not the 6 South African Armored as I know that on 6 May, 1945 they were using the bilingual South African post marker.

Many thanks - I should have read the enquiry more closely.  All the information in Proud and the actual use of the two postcards clearly points to it being British and not South African usage.
