Recently writtern up two covers with contents from a crewmember of HMS Ramillies which was engaged in Naval Opperations in the Sea of Marmara in June 1920

Both covers are endorsed "On Service Afloat" letters are endorsed HMS Ramillies Shipwright 48 Mess & HMS Ramillies Shipwright c/o GPO.

Cancelled Army Post Office TPO 1, 10th & 13th June 1920.  This TPO ran between Haidar Pasha & Ismid. Mail from this TPO service is scarce and these are the first I've seen from a naval source.  Had Naval parties been landed ashore or was this mail route the quickest way for homeward mail.

Friends comments welcome.

Cheers
