WW1 two Naval censor cachet.

Hi All,

        I have just brought these two covers from 2 different dealers. The top cover no 1 i think is a Gould 4C155 in light blue ink for HMS Yarmouth. The bottom cover no 2 i also think may be a Gould 4C155 in violet, but the bars seen bigger.If could confirm my thoughts or otherwise , that would be great.

I'd agree with your Gould 4C155 for HMS Yarmouth for both covers.

I presume your query relates to the bars within the circular cancellation?  If so, these are very variable in thickness even from the same source, and the difference you perceive is not significant.

The top cover to Manchester was censored by Fleet Surgeon Warren G Westcott

The bottom one (J.H.E.) by Lieut John H Edelsten

Both these officers were appointed to "Yarmouth" when she was re-commissioned at Colombo on 14th April 1914
