Can any member help with the attached signature?
On a ppc of Venice cancelled ARMY POST OFFICE L.14 (Fiume, Yugoslavia)
The censor mark CM8 No. 190 was allocated to the 8th York & Lancaster Regt, who were sent out to help the Italians keep order
The writer has signed the card "Vic" I have tried every "Vic" and "V" in that Regt, also any other units that may have been attached i.e. RAMC, R.E. etc I have even tried part of the signature which can be made out "land" and "and" with ?? marks before and after, still no luck.
I have increased the image x 200% to see if that helps.

Are you sure he is from a unit in Venice? The message on the card suggests he may be based in France and only in Venice on a visit

Sorry Alan, the censor mark CM8 No. 190 is 8th Yorks & Lancaster Regt in Fiume, Yugoslavis, confirmed by the APO L.14 which was only used in Fiume
The writer must have picked up the card in Venice on his way across the Adriatic
