Hello,

Can any one tell me anything about this censor mark. At first I thought it was naval but looking at the machine cancel I now think it is army. Any help with this would be great.

Hi Peter,

Just to clarify - it is a Krag machine 8 BASE / POST OFFICE dated 28 AUG 44; this is the latest date whilst 8 BAPO was located in Crepon.  The Base Army Post Office moved to Antwerp from the 26 September 1944.  The next date I have recorded is 20 NOV 44 and this represents the earliest recorded date from Antwerp.

Mike,

Thank you for that. I will write it up as such.
