I am really going to show my ignorance here!
I have covers/cards sent from Italian hospital ships Aquileia and Aquileja. According to details of the vessels I have so far obtained they look to be one and the same. I do not have any Italian so I am wondering whether the two names are in fact two ways of spelling the same name.

As usual, your help in my ignorance will be appreciated.

My son's girlfriend is part Italian. I will ask her. Can you provide scans?

Following further research, I am now satisfied that Aquileia and Aquileja are one and the same vessels.
