Hi all - yet another query from Australia!

For several years now I have exchanged correspondence with an individual in Australia who collects cricket-related philately and now has 20 FDCs of the 16 May 1973 cricket stamps with FPO cancellations for which I have identified the location and given other background information as regards the FPO and or location use.  He has now submitted a cricket related postcard as follows:

The attached scans relate to a cricket postcard sent from Newcastle in the province of Natal South Africa to German South West Africa (now Namibia) in March 1906.
I have a translation of the written message in German on the picture side which simply conveys greetings from the sender and is in no way related to cricket.
But I can't figure out what the script is on the left side of the address side of the card. It is not Pitman shorthand.

Can anyone identify the script please (not necessarily translate it!)?

Thanks, Mike  :)
