My Cover of the Day 20th June RAF in Salonika 1918

Today I show two covers sent by Lt L F Mead, from his time in Salonika.  Both cancelled Base APO X and one endorsed Amberkoj Aerodrome, no clues but possibly by an earlier collector based on the original letter, now missing.

Students of the Southern Russia Campaign in 1919 will be aware of this chap,  a major part of his correspondence has survived, An early collector and writer Ashford knew him personally.

First I've seen from his time in Salonika, others probably exist. FD recorded censor 7 / 47 with this allocation but only seen from FPO 228, (he recorded a lot of the Type 7 censor by APO / FPO usage)
