On a postcard with a view of Milan, headed Sailors Mail, a Chief Electrician of the US Navy writes to his wife in Washington, DC, stating "This is about the prettiest city I have been in so far". His details on the side are shown as -  D.D. Lore, Chief Electrician, US Naval Air Station, Porto Corsini Ravenna, Italy
He has posted the card in  the British Army Postal system. No APO or FPO datestamp is visible, the shield censor (CM8) has had the number crossed out, and a boxed 'S' for Special Censorship is present

This naval air station operated from July to December 1918.

Dallas Dayton Lore [1889-1971] stayed in the Navy after the war and lived in San Diego.
