Iattach scans of a cover a radio operator on a merchant navy ship, if the pencilled script is to be believed, was in Colombo, Ceylon. Cover was self censored using n.109 censor marker. It is also back stamped with Indian "C BASE POST OFFICE" stamp on 18 October, 1944. My questions are firstly were defence redio operators used on merchant ships. Secondly, is there any way the ships name.
