FPHS Member Mike Street from Canada attended our Zoom meeting on Saturday and asked that we share the attached, in case members are interested.

This is the 100th year of the Poppy being shared in Canada as a symbol of the First World War horrors. This article from the Toronto Globe shares the story of the Canadian Divisions in that war and later conflicts and how the poppy was adopted by the Canadian people.
