HMT Umona / SS Umona  was a requisitioned passenger liner in WW1 (and WW2), used to transport troops.

She often did the Liverpool to Archangel trip, taking for instance the initial RNAS Armoured Car Division to Archangel departing Liverpool on 4 December 1915.

I have been unable to ascertain whether it was the Umona which subsequently transported additional RNASACD personnel to Archangel, departing Liverpool on 25 June 1917, with my father aboard.  The name of the transport involved would be much appreciated if anyone can discover it.

Best wishes to one and all

Tony
