Nationality of POW?

Attached are scans of a WWII POW letter to the Hollywood actress Deann Durbin.

Can anyone identify the nationality of the sender?

Hi Regis,
US Army. It´s a jewish Name and writen to United States to his family. This form letter was for mostly nationalitys. Some persons from most nationalitys was in the US Army, polish, czech from the Baltic States and from Germany. The writer can´t be identify the nationality without passport, because Germans comes without passports into the USA.
