While I'm Here. For years I've made desultory enquiries about Hired Managed Transport numbers without success.
Is there any fount of knowledge, other than a trek to Kew, which I am not now mobile enough to attempt, available ?
Specifically any ideas for H.M.T.1086. (1916) ?

I have suffered the same problem for years regarding the HMT Numbers, I also cannot get to Kew because of lack of mobility. What the society needs is a volunteer to give up his precious time to visit the PRO or National Achieves as they are called now to sus out any files held by them. Over to fit members???
