Hi Ingo,
I have a cover addressed to Evans from Switzerland. The write up on my page is as follows...

"Cover from Ostend to Major D Gordon Evans RAMC, HQ, 2 Base Sub Area (located in Nantes) censored at a BAPO where the unusual 'censor'* cachet has been applied. The cover is back stamped with a FPO 66 dated 10 FE 60 and a FPO 27 dated 23 FE 40. The back flap is sealed with an Anti-tuberculosis Fund label.

Proud (1982) records FPO 66 being used either at Rennes or Cherbourg and FPO 27 being used by an AFPU. Daynes (1989) alternatively lists FPO 27 being used by GHQ PU."

*The 'unusual' cancel is the rectangular box filled with small circles Daynes records as being used on mail from abroad addressed to members of the BEF. I have a number of covers with this cancel.

A brief biography is at https://www.maltaramc.com/ramcoff/e/evansdg.html
There may be more, but I haven't checked.

Thanks for info re RAF censor 187

Jim
