By way of a little exercise I've put together the Order of Battle of the 16th Irish Division during their time on the Western Front.
Shows how complex the field of research is.

Units highlighted in Red were in 16th Division during the lifetime of Censor Type 5.

I work it out at a possible 49 censor numbers for this Division during this time. Plus with 3 security swaps 15 datestamps used.

See attached document.

I have found numerous occasions when both FD and AK recorded something which now looks wrong. Either the Battalion had changed brigades, or the brigade had changed divisions or the division had left France for Salonika etc.

Going through CM4, I have come up against more records which don't make sense - and I am only a third of the way through!
