Can anyone help me with this airmail to Melbourne please? In particular:
How is the 54F postage rate arrived at?
How did it get there?
Where was Poste Aux Armees 515 applied?
What is the meaning of the rectangular box bottom left of the front?
What, if anything, does the m/s "37" [?] towards the top left in bluish ink?

Hi Colin, BPM (Poste aux Armées) 515 was established from 31 May 1945 at Bühl, Germany
for two months and then at Baden, Germany until 1977.
I suppose that the rectangular mark is for registred mail.

The number 37 would almost certainly be the weight in grammes - to assist in calculating the postage.
