I have received the following enquiry from a member:

I have a Transit Pass for the Palace Officers Restaurant issued to a Captain Hopkinson at BREWFORCE HQ by #53 Town Major CMF

Does anyone have any information on BREWFORCE, or where it was ?

Thanks, Mike

Hello Mike,

Brew Force was the Royal Singles and British forces etc in Greece towards the end of World War Two. I have come across this before on two covers I have somewhere !!!

I could not find much on them but here is a link which might help.

Chris

Many thanks for the information.

I just decided to give The National Archives a go and found this:

Under Land Forces Greece

Reference: WO 204/9233
Description: 46 British Division (Brewforce) daily operational situation reports
Date: 1945 Feb.-Apr.

I have passed all the information on to the member concerned.
