This official communication was sent from the office of the CO, HMCS Hunter to a chaplain at the Canadian Forces Base, Southport, Manitoba. HMCS Hunter was and still is a "stone frigate", a land-based naval training and recruitment establishment at Windsor Ontario. The base was first established there in 1941 and has operated a variety of light training vessels and inflatables.
